Step 1: From the main Watch face screen, press and hold the UP button to open Menu.

Step 2: Once the menu is open, press Start button when Watch face option is highlighted.

Step 3: Swipe Up or Down to browse through available Watch faces.

Step 4: Once you find the watch face of your choice, press Start/Stop button.

Step 5: When Apply option is marked, press the Start/Stop button.

Now the watch face will be applied to your Watch. You can switch between different watchfaces anytime with these steps.

How to Customize Watch faces on Forerunner 165

Now that you know how to change watchface, the customization process will be much easier. Here are the steps.

Step 1: Open menu by pressing and holding UP button.

Step 2: Press Start button to open Watch faces and then navigate to watch face that you want to customize.

Step 3: Press the Start/Stop button to bring options, navigate to Customize using UP/Down button. Then press Start button again to open Customization controls.

Step 4: It will list the fields that can be customized, you need to choose the field that you want to customize. To customize all fields, simply customize them one by one. For example, let’s choose Data field and then press Start button.

Step 5: You will see data field flashing, if you don’t want to edit the part that is flashing, press the Start button and next data field will flash.

Step 6: To make changes to select field, use UP and Down buttons.

Step 7: Once you are finished with last data field, pressing the Start button will give some options including Apply option.

Step 8: When Apply option is highlighted, press Start button and the changes will be saved.

That’s it, you can now follow the same process for other customization fields like layout, and accent color. Unfortunately you won’t find abundant customization features and options like Wear OS and Apple smartwatches. But the options available are still good.
