How to Install TopoActive maps on Garmin Enduro 2
Garmin Enduro 2 watch comes with regional pre-loaded TopoActive maps. But if you want to install other Topoactive maps, you can follow these steps.
- From the watchface screen, press the Start/Stop button.
- This will bring activity menu. Scroll down using the Down button till Map Manager.
- When Map Manager is highlighted, press the Start button.
- Now select TopoActive Maps using the Start button.
- It will show pending action for any map. Scroll down using Down button and select Add Map using the Start button.
- Now it will look for WiFi, and if connected it will proceed further.
- It will show available TopoActive Maps that aren’t installed. You can also see the available space for your watch.
- Look for the map you want to install using the Up and Down button.
- Now select the map you want to download using the Start button.
- Press the Down button to see map details. Then tap the Start button to see available options.
- When the Download option is selected, press the Start button.
- It will ask you to connect your watch to the charger. So put your watch in charging.
- As soon as you connect the watch with the charger you will get a prompt, select Download Map using the Start button.
- It will start downloading the Topoactive map on your Garmin Enduro 2 watch. You can see the progress in percentage.
The download process may take a few hours as the size of the maps are big. So the perfect time to download maps is at night or when you are not using the watch. It takes less time when you update maps. Now let’s see how to update maps.
How to Update Maps on Garmin Enduro 2
Garmin regularly updates its watches as well as maps. So if you want to check whether there is any map update pending on your watch or want to update maps then you can follow these steps.
- Press the Start/Stop button to open the Activity list.
- Scroll down using back button and select Map Manager using Start button.
- Now select Topoactive maps and press Start.
- If any map has updates pending, it will show ‘Update Available’ after the Map name.
- Press the Start button to open the Map info.
- Now Press the Start button again to bring options and press Start to select Update.
- Connect your Watch with Charger and press Start again to download Map update.
- It will look for connected WiFi and the Map will update to the latest version.
How to Delete Maps on Garmin Enduro 2
If you are not using any Map or want to remove some Maps to clear space, then you can delete Maps on your Garmin Enduro 2. Here are the steps.
- Open Map Manager using the same steps given above.
- Navigate to Topoactive Maps and press the Start button.
- Now choose which Map you want to delete and press Start button to open the Map info.
- In the Map info screen press the Start button and select the Remove option.
- It will ask for confirmation, press Start to confirm.
- Now the selected Map will be deleted.
How to Update or Install Maps using Garmin Express App
You can also update or install free or purchased maps using the Garmin Express app. The Garmin Express app is available for both Windows and Mac. You can download the Garmin Express app from the official Garmin website. After downloading the app file, install it on your PC or Mac.
Connect your watch to your computer using a USB cable and run the Garmin Express application. It will detect your watch and then tap on Add device. Log in with your Garmin account and it will sync with your Watch.
Once connected, it will show available software updates and map updates at the top. If a map update is available, click Update and follow the on-screen instructions. This will install map updates on your Watch. Do not disconnect your watch in the middle of the process. Once a map is updated, you can view it in Maps on your Watch.
