This month, Apple officially released watchOS 9 for compatible Apple Watch. watchOS 9 comes with a bunch of new features and improvements. The list includes Low Power Mode, which is one of the best features on watchOS 9. The feature is available for Apple Watch Series 4 and newer models. Here’s how you can enable low power mode on Apple Watch Series 7, 8, or Apple Watch Ultra.
The new Low Power mode replaces the Power Reserve mode, bringing some additional functionalities to the Apple Watch. Apple says with Low Power Mode, users will be able to get up to 36 hours of battery life per charge, which is doubled compared to normal usage or non-low power mode. Additionally, the California tech giant says, the feature will temporarily disable select sensors and features, including the always-on display, heart health notifications, autostart workouts, and more.
If you are traveling on a two day trip and forgot to carry the Apple Watch charger, then you can now turn on the Low Power mode to get more juice from the battery.
