How to Connect Fossil Gen 6 to iPhone or Android [Wear OS 3.0]

When you boot up your Fossil Gen 6 smartwatch running on Wear OS 3.0 for the first time, it will be in pairing mode and you can connect it to your phone by installing the Fossil app. Here are the instructions to connect the watch to your phone.

  1. If you are booting the watch for first time, you will see the Tap to begin on your watchโ€™s screen.
  2. Now choose the preferred language.
  3. On the next screen, you will see the QR code for pairing.
  4. Open the Fossil app on your app.
  5. Login with your account, by tapping Get Started or Login button.
  6. Tap Setup your watch button, then select Add New Watch.
  7. Now choose the Touchscreen option and accept terms and conditions by tapping agree option.
  8. Select your watch name to select it.
  9. You will see the pairing code on both your watch and phone, if the codes are the same tap Pair button.
  10. That’s it.

How to Connect Fossil Gen 6 to iPhone or Android [Wear OS 2.0]

As I said earlier, when you boot up your Fossil Gen 6 (series) watch for the first time it will be in pairing mode, in case you are already using the Fossil Gen 6 and want to put it back in pairing mode, then all you need to do is, disconnect from the current device or reset it up.

You can easily turn on your Fossil Gen 6 smartwatch, all you need to do is press the power button (the middle button) on your watch for a few seconds, it will boot up the watch in pairing mode, once done you can follow the below steps to connect it to your device.

  1. Tap on the watchโ€™s screen when it says Tap to begin.
  2. Now choose the preferred language.
  3. On the next screen, you will see instructions to install Wear OS on your smartphone.
  4. Open the Wear OS by Google app on your phone, then select Start Setup.
  5. Grant the required permissions by tapping Agree button.
  6. Now it will start searching for the watch, make sure you have Bluetooth enabled on your phone.
  7. Once you see the watch name on the screen, tap on it.
  8. You will see the pairing code on both your watch and phone, if the codes are the same tap Pair button.
  9. On the next screen, you will see the option to connect the watch with WiFi, tap Connect, then tap next.
  10. If you have any backup stored in Google Drive, you can restore it.
  11. Now it will ask you to grant permission to sync contacts, call logs, messages, notifications, and more, tap allow.
  12. Once you see โ€œYouโ€™re all Setโ€ on your screen, tap Done.
